Professional Background
John Brindley, PE is the founder and chief engineer of Mythic Engineering, a multi-service engineering platform supporting structural engineering, cold-formed steel, coastal and waterfront engineering, building systems coordination, VDC/BIM, field support, production support, and fast-turn stamped deliverables.
John is a licensed Professional Engineer in 25+ states and has led or supported more than 300 projects across residential, commercial, coastal, waterfront, cold-formed steel, building systems, infrastructure, and complex facility work. His work is focused on practical engineering: clear scopes, constructible drawings, responsive communication, sound technical judgment, and support through production and installation.
Through Mythic Engineering and related divisions, John has built and managed distributed engineering and drafting teams supporting projects across multiple jurisdictions. His experience includes high-volume structural delivery, 100+ waterfront projects, FrameCAD / cold-formed steel systems, Panasonic OASYS building systems coordination, VDC/BIM workflows, heavy civil infrastructure support, custom equipment development, coastal resilience work, and field issue resolution.
Prior to founding Mythic Engineering, John worked across heavy civil construction, coastal engineering research, engineering software, VDC/BIM coordination, and startup operations. His background includes support for $50M+ in micropile and jet grout work on Manhattan coastal resilience infrastructure, $3M+ in custom machinery and heavy equipment projects, DoD-funded research on rapidly deployable floating breakwater structures, and QA/support work for CAESAR II pipe stress engineering software.
John's work is grounded in practical delivery, technical accountability, and long-term client support. Mythic Engineering was built to help owners, builders, architects, contractors, manufacturers, and developers move projects from concept through stamped engineering, coordination, production, and field execution.
